About Fatigue/Burnout
Fatigue is a lingering tiredness that is constant and limiting. With fatigue, you have unexplained, persistent, and relapsing exhaustion. It can result from a mental or physical health condition, medication use, chronic pain, or other reasons. There are two main types of fatigue: physical and mental.
Someone with physical fatigue may find it physically hard to do common tasks, like climbing the stairs. Symptoms can include muscle weakness, tiredness, and lack of energy.
With mental fatigue, it becomes harder to concentrate and stay focused. One may feel sleepy, or have difficulty staying awake while working.
Burnout is a form of exhaustion caused by constantly experiencing too much emotional, physical, and mental fatigue for too long. In many cases, burnout is related to one’s job, but it can also happen in other areas of your life, and affect your health.
Stress results from too much mental and physical pressure and too many demands on your time and energy, whereas burnout is about too little of these things: too little emotion, motivation, or care. Stress makes one feel overwhelmed, but burnout makes one feel depleted and used up.

Intention
For the maximum effect, it helps to focus your intention on your desired outcome. We may feel pulled into past stressful memories, or beholden to perceived future obligations. It's important to remember that you exist right here and now, in this moment. Therefore, bring your focus into the present moment: focus one each breath in turn. Inhale deeply, feeling the stomach and ribcage expand. Hold that breath for a moment, feeling your body utilize each molecule of oxygen in that breath. Exhale slowly, feeling your stomach and ribcage contract. Hold that lack of breath for a moment, feeling your body in that moment: deflated, waiting for the next breath. Appreciate each breath as it comes. Inhale energy and positivity from your surroundings, exhale your exhaustion and negativity into your surroundings. You and your surroundings are intertwined in feedback loops that reinforce each other, much like as we inhale oxygen and exhale carbon dioxide, the plants around us inhale carbon dioxide and exhale oxygen. We lift each other up. Try to feel that support, and lean into it.
